Let's formalize it
Forgive the fuckery I’m kind of loopy on Benadryl at the moment.
Thesis, antithesis, hypothesis? Who needs them. Fuck them, right in the pussy. Or instead of sexualizing the subject like a modern elementary school let’s click some keyboard buttons and do some research!
I've heard the phrase “investment thesis“ thrown around by the big brains but usually I forget to write it down and analyze it. I’m not a Ph.D. I’m assuming it stands for phucking dickhead? But they seem to write a “dissertation” and that has a thesis too? So what’s a thesis and can it make you think better?

Ok now that we know what a thesis is we can form an argument and support it with some evidence. My guess is a thesis is great for understanding something. If you don’t understand something why would you choose to interact with it? You could try the guess and check method instead, or defer to some expert for a conclusion. But why not use a thesis, an investment thesis to become your own expert! What better way to self correct, if you lie to yourself you can blame yourself for the results.
A checklist, to make it strong lord! For a hoe to know her own place!
Does it answer the question?
Have I taken a position or am I a dim fool politician.
Is it pacific? Pacific enough to not be vague?
Does it pass the “So what?“ test?
Does I have supporting evidence?
Does it pass the “how and why” test?

What about a conclusion? Well the conclusion is not just a verbatim restate of the thesis and results, a Conclusion is something more, it’s deeper, deeper, deeper. After an investment has borne fruit a conclusion can be drawn and we can use this information to either refine our thesis, prove and disprove hypothesis’s but most importantly… Tell our friends and share the emergent wisdom.

As you can see there is a lot of work to do in order to perform the menial task of investing.
